i slowly padded in. I had only gotten 30 minutes of sleep, but it was enough to dry the tears

I glanced over when Echo came. I didnt say anything, but my thoughts did
So the weakling has returned. Its amazing she can show her face after doing what she had to do! I thought, eyes rolling. Also completly forgetting she could read current thoughts.

I laid so my head was facing Echo before placing them on my talons. spreading my wings, i sunned them while one hung aimlessly over the water.

I stared into the water. My reflection stared back.
After a few moments, my reflection seemed to shift and warp. I stared at Fretno.

I saw Echo start in suprise at her reflection...but i didnt see anything special about it.

He mouthed the words,
"Thank you" before almost disapearing. Before i could do a thing, the paw of a tiger grasped my leg and tugged me into the water. I struggled to go and get air, but the hold it had on me was to strong.

I was dragged further down, i culd feel tears coming even though i was underwater. Satr-Light Tiger tears had clensing abilities, so the water around me cleared a bit. I saw Zora above me, looking down. More tears came, almost making the water glow.
She lets me die after i concured a dragon, after i healed her. . . After i thought she was at least some sort of friend.

"She so is going to pay for making me land logged again!" I screeched, diving in after here. I could see the water clearing about her, so she was crying...underwater. I was pretty sure Echo was halusinating, for what had her looked like a paw at first, but it was a disguise to a tentacle.
The fun thing about us griffens was that we can still screech underwater. I did that to try and stun whatever had Echo.

But the screch only parelized me. My strugles went down to nothing, letting me be pulled down even faster as my oxygen levels fell

I noticed that my attempt backfired.
This is going to hurt... I thought.
Calling on achient powers, my body started crackling with lightning. My eyes glowing with triumph, i sent my lightning through the water and at the monster. Garented Echo and i still got shocked but not badly.

The tentical quivered and lost grip. It shot back up searching for something to drag down. A swiped a log into its grasp and it took it down. I struggled up, but had lost my oxygen.

I came under Echo and started to push us up, using my wings as propellers. Breaking the surface, i hauled her to land.
"You so owe me." I gasped, feeling like i gained thirty pounds.

I took a huge gulp of air. I sat and started to clean myself after i got a good 3 feet away.
"I can help," i mewed roughly. I flucked my paw around a bit and the water in her fur and feathers lifted and went back to the small lake
