South Side, Open Plain
Hawkpelt watched from a large boulder for any danger. They were on the border between the forest and plain. Their fur hid them, and they were all the most experienced. Lightecho was in a dead tree, her dark fur making her seem like one of the branches. Sandpaw hid behind tall grasses, and Sunpaw watched from a bush. They waited patiently, knowing they were going to be the hardest hit. Bramblefang joined them, knowing he had to keep his clan safe. He jumped into a live tree, and waited like the rest of them. They were spread apart by 40-50 yards each.

Hawkpelt scanned the plain, knwing they would have to be prepared for anything. Their clan was small, and he was instruceted that if anything went wrong, bring everyone to the underground dens. "Its ok if it seemed like our clan had vanished, just let everyone live.. " The thought rang in his mind. He kept a calm disposition. Lightecho hung lazily in the dead tree, although very unrelaxed. She knew that if they were overthrowed, go to the nearest escape exit, the tunnels. Only they knew about the passageways, that took about a month to construct. Ours is behind a bush.. She thought. Sandpaw and Sunpaw watched tensly, knoeing they couldn't goof off. Not this time. Bramblefang was prepared to escort everyone into the tunnels, to seal it shut, and get to the dens.

Everyone knew it was time, and stood guard. They were far apart, in case of a hard hit. They knew the exits well, and were prepared to use them.

OOC: told ya they wouldnt be bored!!
I stayed in the darkest of shadows, my sences on full alert. I wasnt looking for a fight until i found the leader. I could never remember why, but she made my skin itch. Now, hopfully, i would find her before any warriors found me.

Hawkpelt idmediattly saw, and smelled an enemy, and signaled everyone to attack. They streaked through the trees, like a whisper in the wind. Bramble pounced on the warrior, making sure not to be vunerable to the belly rake. Everyone else held her down as well.

Well this worked well... I though grimly. Anyone who was close enough got a snap from my jaws, tiny as they were.

NRR: Tis ok.
Hawk grimanced, "I-I can't do it. I will never kill someone, enemy or not." Despite letting go, everyone else tensed a bit.

Hawkpelt ordered, "Don't kill her. Just hurt her enough so she won't bother us." Everyone took one sharp, wincing scratch at her back, neck, whatever, and psuhed her away. The also kicked her in the feet, so she couldn'tfight back. Hawkpelt grimanced, but it was for the best. "Leave."

After i got some ways off i turned and just stared at Hawkpelt. I've never known a warrior to not kill in battle, it was odd. Slowly turning, i made my way back to camp to be healed and take a fast rest.

"Hawk.." Lightecho turned to Hawkpelt, "Why didn't you kill her?"
"She has potentiall.. a warrior to travel this far deserves to live, enemy or not." veryone nodded, and then went to their post.
